We were thrilled to gain a shed with our home purchase. Because we have an acre of land, we use our shed to store lawn equipment, garden tools, and just general outdoor stuff.
But when we moved into our new home, our shed was a scary eyesore. So scary I didn’t want to go in to fetch my pruning shears. And it was just a blob, sitting off the side of your yard.
I needed an easy she shed make-over, big time!
For a simple fix, I cleaned up around the shed and planted some bromeliad and mulched. It looked better…but not to my standards.
Then over the next few months, I gradually transformed the outside of the shed to appear like a miniature version of our home. We painted it to match our house, SW Classic French Gray. I created faux windows, put up shutters/window boxes, installed a new door (complete with faux window decals). And here it is!
From scary to sweet…. a fun little cottage that stores our lawn and garden tools!
