Give me a theme party any day; and gosh dang it, I will do my best to git with the barn dance or disco (see wear a wig) or whatever . . .

This time, it was a Nashville Nights Dinner Dance Hoedown. Our friends really decided to do it up right!

A clip-in hair piece, braided and concealed under a cowgirl hat, and I’m feeling like Daisy Mae! Add my Concha belt, Luchese cowgirl boots…plus a few line dances, a little two-stepping—and a sassy attitude by all made for memorable theme party.

See y’all at the ranch!

Whatever the theme, a little dress-up can put you in the mood for fun!

You are never too old to kick up your heels and Dosey-do!

And a sidebar from Mare: So being from Texas, I just had to chime in and share a sign proudly displayed in my Girl Cave.

Yee-haw!

Cowgirl is an attitude really; a pioneer spirit, a special American brand of courage. The cowgirl faces life head on, lives by her own lights and makes no excuses. Cowgirls take stands. They speak up. They defend the things they hold dear. A cowgirl might be a rancher, or a barrel racer, or a bull rider, or an actress. But she’s just as likely to be a checker at the local Winn Dixie, a full-time mother, a banker, an attorney or an astronaut.”
